Format of the Log File

The log file is formatted as a text CSV style file. The rows are in sequential order, one row per action. A row can have several columns, but always has atleast two:
  1. The first column is the timestamp -- relative to the start of the test
  2. The second column is the type of action, see below
  3. The remaining columns are relative to the type

The types of action

  • timebaseFrequency This means the third column will hold the number of "ticks" per second for the timestamp.
  • mouseMove This means that the third and fourth columns will hold the x and y coordinates, respectively of a mouse movement. They are relative to the upper left of the window, and are scaled; the whole desktop area is scaled to the normal range of 0..65535. Refer to TBD to get the information to scale this to desktop pixels, and to window pixels.
  • mouseDown This means that the third column includes a bitmap of the mouse buttons pressed
  • mouseUp This means that the third column includes a bitmap of the mouse buttons released
